GLAMOUR's highlight of Fashion Month: Angel Chen
Amongst the hundreds of shows we get to watch at Milan Fashion Week, we spotted an up and coming new designer in the form of Angel Chen and have her pinned as our one to watch for the future.
Showing as part of the Mercedes Benz International Design Exchange Programme, she was chosen from a shortlist of Chinese designers to present her collection as part of the Milanese schedule, alongside mega brands like Armani, Moschino, Prada and Dolce & Gabbana, and holding her own.
Showing in the beautiful Palazzo Reale by the Duomo, the catwalk was alive with what Angel Chen described as a ‘modern tribe’. Drawing from tribal influences from across the globe, this was a colourful and contemporary collection, full of textural clashes and metallic flashes.
The key looks for us fused a sports luxe vibe with a more glamorous edge. Special mention should be made of the faux fur pieces which were really stand out.
