• Use Railcard's handy "Help me choose" input system where you can add your local station, your age and add something more specific about your travel (e.g. you usually travel with children) and the website will help you find the Railcard that is right for you. 

• Alternatively, you can select the Railcard you think is right for you (there are 9 to choose from!); anything from the 16-25 Railcard to a Veterans Railcard. 

• Read through the eligibility and terms of use.

• Scroll back up to the top of the page and click the red 'Buy Now' button.

• Select the duration of your subscription and whether you want a digital or physical copy.

• Accept the terms and conditions and the Railcard is now yours!

What time of year can I save the most at Railcard?

Railcard can offer savings of up to 1/3rd off rail travel throughout the year, but some of the best times to buy your Railcard is during one of these Railcard deals:

• Railcard Back to School promotion: If the new term is starting and you take the train to get to class, you can pick up a 1-year 16-17 Saver for £30 and get 50% off most fares. If you’re 16 to 25 years of age, you can get a 3-year card for £70 to save £20 off the bat and get 1/3rd off select fares.

• Railcard Summer deals: If you’re planning to travel with kids during the holidays, grab a Friends & Family Railcard to get to your destination for less. Valid for up to 4 adults and 4 kids per card, you'll get 1/3rd discounts on adult fares and 60% for little ones.

• Railcard Two Together travel: If you often travel with a partner or pal, buy a Two Together Railcard and split the cost. You'll both save 1/3rd on fares, and it costs just £30 for one year – at just £15 each, it really is a steal!

The best Railcard online deals and discounts

Does Railcard offer a sale?

No. All of the current deals can be found under the Railcard Savings tab on the menu, but there isn't a dedicated section for only Railcard sales or Railcard clearances.

Can I get Railcard free delivery?

Yes. Railcard free delivery is automatically offered for physical cards, but it can take up to five working days for delivery. If you want your card faster, you can pay £6.50 to get yours delivered within two working days.

Does Railcard offer cashback?

No. There is no Railcard cashback scheme currently available.

Can I get a Railcard student discount?

Yes. Railcard student discount offers are occasionally offered. Verify your status with Student Beans to take advantage of an extra 2% discount for select trips and routes.

Can I get a Railcard sign-up offer?

No. There is no Railcard sign-up offer, but if you subscribe to the Railcard newsletter, you'll be the first to receive travel news or exclusive deals for existing customers.
