Introducing Myla. You may already know them as @pradaolic on Instagram, where they share their latest makeup looks – dazzling their followers (all 99K of them) with their artistry. Let's just say there are a lot of pearls involved. And we're here for it.
To say that Myla's got range is an understatement. Whether they're playing with elfin prosthetics, drawing intricate floral details, or elegantly applying gold leaf, Myla's makeup game is always pushing boundaries – and looking hella glamourous in the process.
Naturally, we were keen to know the story behind Myla's boundless creativity. They told GLAMOUR, “I’m inspired by all things around me, I could just be sat down and my mind will instantly shoot a visual of a look into my peripheral vision and I’ll either write or draw that idea down and expand on it further.”
Describing their look (and themsleves) as “ethereal and divine,” Myla reflected on why people are *so* obsessed with their artistry, saying, “I wear and create whatever I want, whether it's bold or subtle, I'm always authentic. Plus I’m always bringing looks to life that haven't been seen before.”

And err, what if we want to have a go at recreating Myla's looks? Well it would actually help if we got our skincare sorted first. Myla reiterates the importance of preparing your skin before applying makeup, saying, “I always like to have a flawless glowing base that’s prepped because if it isn’t, that discourages me from creating and I won’t feel my best when taking pictures.”

With that in mind, GLAMOUR quizzed Myla on their skincare routine to find out how they ensure their skin is glowing ahead of applying makeup.
Hey Myla! First things first, how would you describe your skin type?
I would say my skin is a combination of oily and dry depending on the weather or season. In summer of course my skin tends to get quite oily particularly around my T-zone areas especially my nose!
I’m constantly outside creating in the sun (with the correct skin protection of course) however during winter my skin sometimes can be a little dry hence I like to keep my skin super-hydrated all year round by drinking lots of water and using hydrating skin care products.
What are your main skin concerns?
My main skin concerns are definitely my pores and fine lines. My pores are slightly visible so I LOVE products that shrink/minimise my pores as well as mattifying those areas.
I’m a very smiley person with a big, beautiful and bright smile who smiles a lot so that has resulted in these little fine lines on the upper corners of my lips and i feel as though the times i’m not grinning it can be visible when you really pay attention to it!
How has your relationship with your skin changed over time?
I used to hate how textured my forehead was – no matter what products I tried or used, the little bumps on my forehead refused to go away until I really got to know my skin and educated myself.
Then I discovered natural ingredients such as aloe vera which helped my skin and the texture of it sooooo much!
Aloe vera is one of the key ingredients in Neutrogena's Oil Balancing® range, what did you make of the products?
Well, the first thing I noticed when I tested Neutrogena® Oil Balancing range was the smell. The whole range smelt absolutely DIVINE. It also contains lime, which is another ingredient I always look for in my products as it really works well for me.
The sweat pimples did not come to play.
You tried and tested Neutrogena's Oil Balancing range, which was your favourite product in and why?
This is a tough one. As I mentioned earlier, I love products that contain aloe vera. It's one of my go-to ingredients to smoothen out the texture of my skin. With that in mind, I'd say my favourite product in the range has to be Neutrogena® Oil Balancing Facial Wash. I loved how gentle the cleanser was – it's not too dry yet it also doesn't strip my skin. It left my skin feeling soft, mattified and clean (without it feeling ridiculously squeaky clean).
I also used the Neutrogena® Oil-Balancing In-shower Mask, which was a real treat: I was pleased to see it contained glycolic acid, which is another one of my favourite ingredients for tightening my pores.
Do you find that your skincare needs change in the colder months?
Yes! During winter I focus a lot more on keeping my skin super hydrated and plump by using hydrating toners, essences, and exfoliators.
How do you feel about your skin now?
I absolutely LOVE the way my skin is now. I’ve come a very long way with it: I love how soft it is to touch, I love the deepness of the tone of my skin, I love my dark circles (it makes me look mysterious in my opinion), and I absolutely adore the radiant glow to my skin! I wouldn’t change a thing about it.
