Zendaya never misses a beat when it comes to the red carpet, and her appearance at last night's Bulgari Mediterranea High Jewlery event at the Palazzo Ducale in Venice was no exception.
Dressed to kill in an off the shoulder, slinky black satin gown, Zendaya called on her glam squad to bring even more drama to her outfit.
And, lucky for us, her makeup artist, Ernesto Casillas, took to his Instagram to let us in on the brief for the event. “I channeled sultry vixen vibes for this face I gave @zendaya using all @lancomeofficial,” he said. Speaking exclusively to GLAMOUR, Ernesto explained: “Zendaya and I agreed that a smoky eye would be great for this look. I decided to go with more of a halo smoky eye to give it a sultriness and layers to it. I layered various shades of dark brown and black on both outer parts of her eye and kept the middle a bit more open with a pop of sparkle.” As for how to recreate it, Ernesto used the Lancôme Hypnose 5-Colour Eyeshadow Palettes in Smokey Chic and Bronze Absolu. Her creamy nude lip looked perfect, (Ernesto lined lips with Le Lip Liner Pencil in Nude Sculptural before adding L'Absolu Rouge Cream Lipstick in 238 Si Sulement on top), her brows were lightly groomed and brushed upward into place and her cheeks were gently sculpted with a soft sweep of blush.

To help her makeup stand out, her hair was swept up and out of the way, but that doesn't mean it was any less beautiful. Her hair stylist, Tai Simon, crafted side-parted wet-look finger waves that rolled down into a perfectly polished chignon bun.
And with her hair up, the show-stopping Bulgari serpent choker necklace she wore for the event was able to truly shine.
The event also gave us one of our favourite celeb friendship moments as Zendaya posed alongside Anne Hathaway. The Devil Wears Prada actress picked up where she left off at the Met Gala with another killer Versace gown, complete with a sequin encrusted hood (because, minimalism is yawn).
