Often labelled as one of the most game-changing lash formulas out there, the UKLash eyelash growth serum has built the kind of cult status you can’t really ignore. Between the ambitious claims, the dramatic before-and-after pictures and the overwhelming popularity on TikTok, this clever eyelash growth serum has quickly worked its way up into the big leagues — all while maintaining a pretty reasonable price tag, no less.

Of course, that level of hype naturally comes with a healthy dose of scepticism. Even as a beauty journalist who’s tested more eyelash, hair growth serums (read our UKLash hair growth serum review here) and eyebrow serums than I can count, I’ve never found most of them particularly transformative. With my notoriously thin, short and pin-straight Asian lashes, very few formulas have ever followed through on their promises. Which is exactly why I eventually stopped bothering with my natural lashes altogether and became a very loyal member of the false lash club instead.
But what intrigued me about the UKLash serum was that, unlike most other serums I've tried, it was also affordable — which meant that should I need to stick to a routine, repurchasing it wouldn't leave as big of a dent to my bank account. And, it's even more affordable right now as it's on sale for Black Friday 2025. It features in our best Black Friday beauty deals top picks, and our guide to the the UKLash Black Friday sale – so you know it's good.
In an effort to finally give my natural lashes the boost that they so desperately need, I decided to put the serum to the test. I wanted to test how long it would take to see any improvement, whether the formula ended up causing any irritation and, of course, if the results were actually as noticeable as they promise to be. Here's everything you need to know.
UKLash eyelash serum review: at a glance
- Testing period: Four weeks/one month.
- Pros: Reasonably priced, offers a sizeable improvement to the length and thickness of the lashes.
- Cons: If you have sensitive eyes, you may need to opt for the sensitive version as the original may cause minor irritation throughout the first few days.
- Quick verdict: For those willing to commit, UKLash is one of the more convincing lash serums I've tried. It doesn't feel miraculous by any means, but if used consistently, the results speak for themselves.
Product deep-dive
Formulated with peptides, antioxidants and various conditioning agents, this vegan and cruelty-free formula is also free of parabens and oils, making it safe to use with lash extensions or contact-lens-wearers.
The idea is that biotin peptide helps boost the effectiveness of fatty acids, resulting in stronger and more fuller-looking lashes, while panthenol aims to repair and protect each hair follicle to support healthy re-growth.
Elsewhere, Myristoyl Pentapeptide-17 stimulates the production of keratin, which is a vital protein for hair growth. Unlike the more aggressive prostaglandin-based serums, it leans more moderate — meaning it doesn't deliver miraculous results overnight, but rather, it focuses on gradual strengthening instead.
My results week by week
Weeks 1
If I'm being honest, there wasn't anything dramatic to report in terms of results. As expected with any lash serum or a brow growth serum, I didn't observe any changes during the first week at all, but I do have to point out that I did experience mild redness and itchiness in the first four days of using it.
That being said, since I've previously undergone laser eye surgery, my eyes did become more sensitive as a result, so if you're a bit more cautious about that aspect, you would probably benefit from using the brand's other iteration designed specifically for sensitive eyes. Otherwise, the formula didn't feel oily at all. If anything, it felt nice and lightweight, which made sticking to the process that much easier.
Week 2
By end of week two, I started noticing a few “baby lashes” peeking through, but still nothing major in terms of length or volume. Although, given the more conditioned state of my lashes, I noticed that mascara seemed to glide on more smoothly. The sensitivity I felt during the first week had disappeared altogether, which was definitely a plus in my book.
Week 3
The first shift began about halfway through week three. I noticed that my lashes looked darker, more defined and thick (particularly at the tips). It wasn't a huge change you'd notice from photos or from a friend complimenting you, but it's definitely hard to ignore when observed closer in the mirror. My lashes looked a bit longer too, though not quite enough to woo me.
Week 4
Now, by end of week four, the results were nothing short of impressive. My lashes visibly gained length, appeared even darker in pigment and denser all around. The “baby lashes” were coming in more aggressively too, which is always a positive sign when it comes to hair growth. But the real test happened when I finally decided to apply mascara and use my go-to lash curler. Lo and behold, a single look at my lashes was enough to make me cancel my appointments with my lash technician on the spot. Not only were they boosted in terms of volume, length and definition, but they appeared healthier and stronger too.
My final verdict
As someone who was going into this review with low expectations, I'm pleased to report that the UKLash eyelash serum passed each test with flying colours. Apart from minor irritations during the first few days, I loved that it was able to enhance my lashes in a matter of weeks and helped me regain the confidence I needed to ditch my lash extensions.
It's not the “gimmicky” formula that claims unrealistic results with lightning-fast changes — the ingredients work hand-in-hand to deliver improvements that are gradual and lasting. Of course, as is the case with any lash serum, consistency is key. But if you're ready to commit to using it every night to sustain the results, and if you're after a less pricey formula that doesn't compromise on quality, this serum is absolutely one of the strongest contenders around.
