Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have done it again.
On December 28, Swift and Kelce stepped out for their second New York City date night in a row, and this may be their best coordinated couple look yet. After taking a page out of Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds' playbook the previous day, the pop star and NFL player seem to have found their own formula for subtle cohesion.
Instead of co-ordinating faux fur coats or choosing a colour story for their overall looks, Swift chose to play off of Kelce's Chiefs-red coated denim set with subtle-yet-effective accents. Just look at these photos and tell me her signature red lip and the red bottoms of her Christian Louboutin sandals don't immediately pull your eyes back to Swift, despite the bold nature of Kelce's look.
With eyes back on Taylor Swift, let's talk about her look. Clearly, the key to evoking the holiday spirit with a basic little black dress or skirt is through a statement coat with crystal embellishments. After stepping out in Stella McCartney's beige crystal-embellished oversized blazer on December 27, she opted for a long, fitted take on the bedazzled coat for her second date night out.
On December 28, Swift paired her black knit turtleneck minidress with Simkhai's crystal-embellished Gianni coat. If that wasn't enough sparkle, she finished everything off with a Stella McCartney crystal fringe bag, a diamond tennis necklace, and the same De Beers’ diamond earrings she wore to her Eras Tour-themed birthday party.
Like we discussed earlier, Swift went with her go-to red lip, keeping the rest of her makeup look simple with a short cat-eyeliner and shimmery lids, and opted for a voluminous blowout to round out the luxurious look. This time around, she ditched her favorite diamond-patterned tights in favour of bare legs and — what's that? A red pedicure. What if I told you she's a mastermind?
