Four months after the release of her twelfth studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, Taylor Swift has dropped a new music video for “Opalite” – the third track on the LP.
Heavily influenced by '90s pop culture (it features karaoke, friendship bracelets and overalls), the video also includes many a familiar face.
Where to watch the new ‘Opalite’ music video
While you won't be able to find the music video on YouTube, you can stream it on Spotify and Apple Music right now.
The celebrity cameos in Taylor Swift's ‘Opalite’ music video
In an Instagram post, the “Elizabeth Taylor” singer explained that she had a “spark of an idea” when she was doing the promo for her latest album.
During the press tour last year, on the day of release, she was a guest on late-night talk show, The Graham Norton Show, where she discussed her work and upcoming nuptials to Travis Kelce.
In the episode, another of Graham's guests, Domnhall Gleeson, joked about being in her next music video – which the music mogul took very seriously.
“When we were all talking during the broadcast, Domhnall made a light hearted joke about wanting to be in one of my music videos,” she explained on social media.
"He’s Irish! He was joking! Except that in that moment during the interview, I was instantly struck with an *idea*. And so a week later he received an email script I’d written for the Opalite video, where he was playing the starring role.
“I had this thought that it would be wild if all of our fellow guests on the Graham Norton show that night, including Graham himself, could be a part of it too. Like a school group project but for adults and it isn’t mandatory. To my delight, everyone from the show made the effort to time travel back to the 90’s with us and help with this video.”
As well as featuring A-listers, the video includes people from her Eras Tour.

It stands to reason that Domhnall himself is in the music video for “Opalite”, seeing as it was him who sparked the idea.
His character appears to be in a… prickly relationship with a cactus, before he orders Opalite spray and heals his wounds.
As for the Oppenheimer actor, he is seen on the advertising for Opalite spray.
Blink and you'll miss it, but Greta Lee appears on TV as a singer with a guitar when Swift's character is at a karaoke bar.
Jodie, meanwhile, plays an aerobics teacher – clad in sweatbands, liertard and leg warmers, naturally.
The Scottish singer also makes a cameo in the clip, appearing as a photographer.
Finally, the chat show host himself, Mr Graham Norton, plays a salesman.
