No mouthbreathers allowed. Under no circumstances leave anyone sitting by the pool (sorry Barb). Christmas lights are accepted all year round. And if your friend starts getting flashbacks from another dimension, watch Season 2 of Stranger Things!

These are some of the tips given by the Stranger Things kids if you want to join their friendship group – and who doesn't – taken from the video accompanying their new Entertainment Weekly cover.

Once you've stopped crying and whimpering "They...they are coming back!" to yourself, you'll observe a few things, most notably Eleven's hair. And the fact Eleven is back at all, rejoice!

"I want people to know that Eleven is back and she's a major part of the season," co-creator Matt Duffer is quoted as saying.

And this is fantastic news. Because that finale, when Mike and Eleven were parted, seemingly forever, so that she could shut down the Demogorgon once and for all, was absolutely heartbreaking. The kids had only just fallen for each other! (Which is a bit odd given that they're about 12, but hey, welcome to the Upside Down).

And can we have a word about Eleven's hair? Those are some fantastically fulsome 80s curls – Millie Bobby Brown's own hair is wavy, we checked – which begs the question: who is perming Eleven's hair? Is someone leaving setting lotion in those woods along with Eggos?

At least one key question is answered, and that's thatStranger Things will be back on Netflix in October. HOORAY!
