Anyone else excited about the return of Apple TV+'s Severance? The TV series has received comparisons to Black Mirror, due to its dystopian take on key elements of our lives – causing us to think twice about the ins and outs of our social norms.
It sees a group of people separated from “real life” as Innies, who have had their personal lives “severed” so that they only know their work lives. Dark.
As well as the fact that plans have been made for season 3, we also know that the Severance bosses are setting up huge storylines for the future of the show at large this season. How exciting. Severance creator Dan Erickson has also said that season 3 could come quicker than season 2, as we've had to wait almost three years for the second instalment.
Here's everything you need to know about the return of the smash TV series.

“Season two actually took about the same amount of time as season one,” he said in a recent interview. "The difference, of course, is season one nobody knew what the show was and so they weren’t waiting for it. But at the same time, you’re always looking to sort of fine-tune the process and take what works and leave what doesn’t work and streamline things. So, my hope is that if there is a season three, it’s going to be sooner.”

Severance season 2 trailer
Watch below for a taste of what's to come from Severance season 2. It looks like the Innies will continue to grapple with what they discovered about the Outside World, particularly Mark S (Adam Scott)'s discovery that his supposedly dead wife Gemma (Dichen Lachman) is in fact alive.
They will continue to make connections between they initially believed to be true and what has been kept from them. Super compelling stuff.
