From the slopes to salopettes, alpine lodges to apres-ski, this year's Ski season is in full swing. Need some inspiration for a last minute getaway on the piste? Bonnie Rakhit aka TheStyleTraveller.com takes us through the highlights of her recent trip to Meribel.

Where? The Kaila Hotel, Meribel

Exactly? In the French Alps, part of Les Trois Vallees mountain ski resort.

Best Time to go? Peak season in the French Alps is January to March.

Street Style

There are two distinct schools of thought when it comes to slope side sartorial rules. This is decided by whether you are you a skier or a snow boarder. For skiing, channel your inner Bond girl, think sleek salopettes and fur trimmed jackets. For boarders the look is much more casual, baggy and urban. Trousers legs are worn looser and coats are more like oversized parkas.

This season it's all about colour and print. Wear your neon tones and bright hues with camouflage or geometric print separates.

What to do in the day? The major pass time of this region is to hit the slopes as much as possible. Not in a 'face planting' way obviously! But for those who prefer more chilled out activities and need a little pampering, head to the Nuxe Spa and try out the indulgent treatments, hydro-therapy pools, steam rooms and sauna. it's also the perfect remedy for ski weary bodies.

Lunch

For a relatively small village, Meribel boasts quite an impressive range of great restaurants. One of my favourites is lunch at Les Pierre Plates at 2400m altitude. Indulge in vin chaude (hot wine) and scrumptious French dishes, whilst overlooking the magnificent view of the mountains from the Courcheval/Meribel border.

Dinner and Apres-ski

In the evening go out for a traditional Raclette and fondue dinner, at La Kouisena. Eating here is a social event, as diners serve each other melted cheese from the Raclette heaters and pass each other skewers for the fondue pot. Afterwards hit the dance floor at O'Sullivans or the chic Les Saint Peres club and you can work off those extra calories.

Sleep

For the ultimate mountainside luxury getaway check in to the Le Kaila, Meribel's first 5 star design hotel. This luxury boutique hotel is friendly, welcoming and has a deliciously, cosy atmosphere. Each of it 39 rustically decorated bedrooms are furnished with warm, wooden interiors, soft-fur throws and chic natural art works, the perfect blend of modern luxury and traditional alpine lodge charm.

Our new go to for simple shapes, sunny colours and the most covetable shoes around

The Iran born, LA raised, New York based designer draws on global influences to create her line which she launched in 2013. It appeals to simple sensibilities but an off-beat palate of block colours in natural textures like linen and leather ensures this collection never strays into boring. The shoes range from flat to a very comfortable low heel, in super-soft leather- wearable, easy and stylish, just like the rest of the collection

Standout pieces include the low heel mules, pencil skirts and coloured coats. These pieces make a statement so mix with simple crew neck tees and classic raw denim. If you're ever in New York her Lower East Side Boutique is well worth a visit.

BERLIN FASHION WEEK AW15: OUR FAVOURITE SHOW: DOROTHEE SCHUMACHER

On January 21 Dorothee Schumacher presented her latest Fall/Winter

collection 2015. The endless possibilities of women to express and

reinvent themselves are Dorothee¹s inspiration since her very first

designs. Her collection celebrates this positive energy of mix and match

through a feminine collage of materials, details, proportions and colours.

The most important accessory is the creative intuition!

All over prints, biker details found on looks with a couture flair made of

a variety of different materials from jacquard all the way to calf hair

contrast and emphasize the new stile credo: the right amount of wrong.

High waists are the ultimate expression of femininity.

The positive spirit of the collection was already noted by the guests

before the show: National and international front-row guests entered the

feminine world of Dorothee Schumacher through long rows of poetry gates

which were made of floating fabric panels in nude.

The guests were among others: actresses Bibiana Beglau, Christiane Paul,

Anna Loos and Mina Tander, rising stars like Alicia von Rittberg and Peri

Baumeister, musicians Alina Süggeler (Frida Gold) and DJ Amélie Lens as

well as fashion blogger Pernille Teisbaek. Further guests which style we

love: Maja Wyh and Jessica Joffe. The sound of the new sense of life: the

³winter of love² playlist of Fetisch with songs from Janis Joplin, Led

Zeppelin and Jefferson Airplane.

Team Glamour joined journalists, partners, friends and her team the

designer celebrated her new collection with sparkling champagne after the

show.

Why every piece of this gorgeous line of 'easy wear' is on the fashion team's wish list

Think sexy yet modern shapes, super-luxe cotton in a pleasing palate of shades- Baserange's underwear is too good not to be seen.

BASERANGE, short for Basic Aesthetic for Sustainable Easywear, was launched in 2012 by textile designer Blandine Legait and Marie Louise Mogensen, a visual arts graduate. Since then its gained stockist worldwide and a very loyal fan base (including us).

'Our main focus is movements and comfort for the woman', say the duo, 'the fabrics and cuts hopefully allow the woman to move exactly as she wants, and be herself'. No scratchy, uncomfortable lace here. We're sold.

Why we want everything in this capsule collection

Its black (and therefore chic), understated and very well made. Tick, tick, tick. On the tin this is a capsule wardrobe which is a wonderfully simple idea thats harder to pull off in practice. But by sticking to a single colour and simple silhouettes, this seasonless line could well be the answer to the modern working woman's prayers.

The British-born designer, a former lawyer, splits her time between London and LA where her collection is made and hand-finished.

You get the sense that if anyone understands the kind of woman Quin is aiming her collection at, its the designer herself.

Standout pieces from her SS15 offering include the column dress and trouser-skirt combination which will look good now and for many seasons to come. If all-black isn' t for you, try breaking it up with white tees and shirts.

Designer Profile: Claire Barrow

An off-beat star in the NEWGEN crown.

One evening at the SS15 shows we found ourselves in a dark basement in London's Marylebone, sipping JD and Coke and waiting, unsure of what for.

Cue Japanese scales as Barrow presented a pale and arresting army of 'real women', cast from medical universities and Facebook. The idea being that the Western world has fallen victim to a virus and it's women with medical expertise who will save the day. A big idea, but scratch beneath the surface and there are some very wearable pieces, made with Barrow's typical 'DIY' feel.

Key pieces to invest in are made in lambskin leather and hand-painted by the designer.

On December 2^nd 2014, Karl Lagerfeld presented the CHANEL Métiers d'art show in a glorious rococo setting. The Paris ‐Salzburg 2014/2015 collection was shown at Schloss Leopoldskron, the 18^th Century Austrian castle, acclaimed for its romantic architecture and view of lake Leopoldskroner Weiher and Team Glamour were lucky enough to be there. Designer Profile: JH Zane

Why this London-based designer is totally on our radar

Sharp tailoring that still maintains a sense of femininity and oozes with attitude- yes please. Designer Juhao Zeng trained with Gareth Pugh and Katie Eary and his cool London credentials are evidenced through a bold approach to design and proportions.

We've had a preview of SS15 and are seriously impressed by the playful palate, raw edges and sporty touches. Key pieces include block colour separates, anything that shows off shoulders and the printed american football style top.

We'll be keeping a close eye on this rising star for season's to come.

Each week our shopping editor will highlight a designer that's caught the teams eye. First up- New York label: Trademark.

Think polished American sportswear, clean silhouettes and pieces you'll love forever. Launched in 2013 by Pookie and Louisa Burch, sister's and stepdaughter's of Tory Burch, the duo recently opened their first store in Soho, New York.

With press day season upon us the fashion team see thousands of items, yet Trademark really stood out. Offering an antidote to trends and seasonal whims, the brand places a refreshing emphasis on a woman's person style, literally her Trademark look. For SS15 a palate of pale blue, tobacco, navy and white all works beautifully together. I've particularly got my eye on the mules, wrap skirt and pale blue two-piece.

Looking for a last minute get away to top up the tan before Christmas and banish those winter blues?

Bonnie Rakhit aka TheStyleTraveller.com talks us through her hotlist of what to wear, where to stay and what to do in America's 24hr party city...Miami.

Street style-

Think shiny! Gold! Sparkle! Body con! Channel young, fresh and funky! Denim cut offs worn with a bikini or crop top is the standard street style uniform. The style rules in Miami? If you think Kim Kardashian would wear it, then you've pretty much got it covered!

What To Pack-

Lunch-

Seasalt and Pepper in Downtown Miami is THE place to see and be seen. Sit by the riverside eating black cod and crab lump (the restaurants signature dishes), with a refreshing glass of Sancerre. Head here on Sunday afternoons if you want to party with yacht crowd.

Shop-

After a morning topping up the tan on South Beach, head to Sushi Samba for al fresco seafood and healthy juices, followed by an afternoon of retail therapy on Miami's famous shopping street, Lincoln Avenue.

Dinner-

Nowhere does bling quite like Miami! And the restaurants and hotels are no exception. Stroll down Ocean Drive, taking in all the neon signs and you'll come across the stunning 19th century villa, (once owned by fashion designer Gianni Versace). Now renamed The Villa by Bartong , expect the finest in experimental food, overlooking a decadent, rococo swimming pool. Expect to bump into a celeb or two, Madonna and Elton John both have their own suites here!

Drink-

Start the night off with cocktails with a view at the rooftop bar Juvia, followed by espresso martinis by the pool, at trendy Soho Beach House.

Party-

If you fancy throwing a few shapes on the dance floor head to Miami's most beautiful club, filled with beautiful people, LIV at the Fontainebleau hotel. The DJ line ups are pretty stellar too.

Sleep-

Famed for it's legendary pool parties, a Nobu restaurant on site and Moroccan inspired terraces, where better to rest your weary party head than at design hotel, The Shore Club. Right on Miami's South Beach, whether you want to go for a morning run on the white sand beaches or sip on mojitos at the Sky Bar, The Shore Club is a great location from which to enjoy all Miami has to offer!

Eat -

For lunch enjoy sensational salads and languid lounging on the day beds at beach bar and restaurant, The Jockey Club on Salinas.

After dark head to the Moroccan inspired restaurant and club KM5 for dinner, drinks and dancing.

Do -

Charter a yacht for the day and head the blissful island of Formentera, with crystal clear waters and the whitest of white sand.

Beach Bars -

London's Experimental Cocktail Club opened it's doors in Ibiza last season with the ultra chilled, boho chic, Experimental Beach, in Cap Des Falco. Boasting the prettiest sunset in on the island and as the name suggests some rather exotic cocktails, this is where the chic set come to play.

If you fancy ramping up the daytime partying, the pool bar and club at Nikki Beach is where it's at. Having just opened this season, much like it's international sister clubs, expect to dance around the pool in your bikini whilst quaffing champagne cocktails.

Clubbing -

With one of the world's best line ups of club nights and international DJ's the closing parties in Ibiza are not to be missed. So whether you favour the commercial sounds of Ex Swedish House Mafia DJ's playing Departures at Ushuaia or prefer the dirtier techno beats of Jamie Jones at DC10, the finale nights at the clubs are so explosive, you'll definitely end the season with a bang.

Sleeping -

Hotel Es Vive has a prime location right in between Ibiza Town and the clubs of Playa den Bossa, you couldn't be more perfectly placed. Add to that a super sleek rooftop bar, spa, in house night club and an impressive food and cocktail menu, this is the ultimate Ibiza party hotel.

1. Belt up

From karate belts at Marni to wide leather belts over suits at Tod's, cinching in is big news

2. Raw edges

Prada presented trailing hems and Marni's were unfinished- everything is falling apart (in a really good way)

3. A certain flare

Trousers take on a distinctly 70's feel. Gucci's cropped denim style asks to be worn day after day, Tom Ford took us back (willingly) to Studio 54 and JW Anderson's take on a flare (silky, navy, perfect), feels totally modern.

4. The elevated hair accessory

Why wear a hair elastic when you can make a statement? Fendi's colourful, trailing flowers will do the job nicely

5 Doubling up your bags

Co-ordination is key here- Marc Jacobs satin rucksacks were shown with cross-body friends

7. The flat shoe memo

Yes you really can wear flat shoes with absolutely everything, even tulle dresses (as seen at Burberry)

8. Hold on to your (leather) hat

JW Anderson's floppy, leather number is sure to be a cult buy

9. And the new hemline is….mid-length

Go tube shaped as seen at Calvin Klein and wear with flat shoes. Welcome next season's most sensible trend

10. Pleats please

Christopher Kane's folds were soft and full of movement whilst Peter Pilottos large folds were like origami. A kilt is a good place to start.

FAUSTINE STEINMETZ

Denim has been everywhere this season and at the top of our wish list is anything from the French designer Faustine Steinmetz. Reworking everyday garments such as denim jackets and jeans using artisan techniques, the results are achingly beautiful pieces that you would keep forever.

SHRIMPS

Seen on pretty much every street style blog in the past year, Hannah Weiland and her rainbow coloured faux furs have developed a cult following (Alexa Chung and Natalie Massanet to name a few). This season we are obsessed with the new colour combinations and shapes, as well as her collaboration with Poplin (the best pyjama brand out there in our opinion).
