Secret Service cast: meet the cast of ITV's new spy thriller

Missing The Night Manager? Us too. Thankfully, we have ITV's new Secret Service, a fast-paced spy thriller set within the MI6.

The show, which premiered last night, stars Gemma Arterton as Kate Henderson, a senior MI6 officer who finds herself dragged into an undercover plot involving a UK politician Kate suspects is working as a Russian double agent. Cue plenty of exciting spy shenanigans!

Gemma Arterton as Kate Henderson

Arterton stars as Kate Henderson, an MI6 officer and head of Russia Desk. Her suspicions about a British politician set the wheels in motion for the events of the series.

You might remember Arterton as Kelly, the headgirl of St Trinian's, Bond girl Strawberry Fields Quantum of Solace, the titular character in Tess of the D'Urbervilles, Io, the ageless mentor of Perseus in Clash Of The Titans, and Sister Clodagh in Black Narcissus.

Rafe Spall as Stuart Henderson

Rafe Spall stars as Kate’s husband Stuart Henderson. Stuart is also a Special Advisor to MP Imogen Conrad.

You might remember Spall as Eric in Under Salt Marsh, Danny in The Big Short, Andy in Hot Fuzz. Earlier this year, he also appeared in Riz Ahmed's Bait.

Alexander Terentyev as Sergei Malinski

Alexander Tergentyev plays Sergei Malinski, codename “Cyclops,” an SVR operative, and Kate's friend and informant.

Terentyev is a British-Russian actor. You may have previously seen him in The Tattooist of Auschwitz, For All Mankind and A Spy Among Friends.

Roger Allam as Sir Alan Brabazon

Legendary stage and screen actor Roger Allam plays Sir Alan Brabazon, the Chief of MI6 with the codename “C.”

Allam's long career includes roles in Endeavour as DI Fred Thursday, The Lady in the Van as Rufus, Mr. Holmes as Dr. Barrie, The Thick of It as Peter Mannion, The Iron Lady as Gordon Reece, and Game of Thrones as Illyrio Mopatis. He's also starred in countless theatre productions since beginning his career playing Mercutio for the Royal Shakespeare Company in 1983 and starring as Javert in the original London production of Les Misérables in 1985.

Avi Nash as Ravindra 'Rav' Sangvhi

American actor Avi Nash plays Rav, an MI6 Russia Desk officer who works for Kate.

Alex Kingston plays Rose Trewen, the Head of Security for MI6 and Kate's boss.

Kingston is a frequent fixture in the TV world, having starred as River Song in Doctor Who, Sarah in A Discovery of Witches, Judith in The Widow, Naomi in Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, Blanche in Upstairs Downstairs and Elizabeth Corday in ER.

Amaka Okafor as The Rt Hon. Imogen Conrad MP

Amada Okafor plays the Home Secretary, a left-leaning member of the Labour Party.

You may have recently seen her as Roxie in Black Rabbit, Shahara in Bodies and Chloe in The Split. She also voices Kaz in The Archers.

Aoife Hinds plays Julie, an MI6 Russia Desk officer who works for Kate.

The British actress is the daughter of Ciarán Hinds and is best known for playing Helen, Connell's girlfriend, in Normal People, Mae Chung in Derry Girls, Sister Emeline in Dune: Prophecy, Skye in We Live in Time and Nora in Hellraiser.

Rochenda Sandall as Melissa Morris

Rochenda Sandall plays Melissa, a Special Advisor to Amanda Walker. You probably remember her as Lisa McQueen in Line of Duty. She also played Pippa in Black Mirror: Bandersnatch, Barbara Beese in the “Mangrove” episode of Small Axe and Fi in Amandaland.

Incidentally, she is also the real-life partner of Mark Stanley, who plays Ryan Walker in Secret Service.
