Reese Witherspoon and her spitting image daughter Ava Phillippe have done their “double act” yet again on Instagram – and, seriously, we don't think we will ever quite get over how much they resemble one another.
Case in point the 46-year-old actor-turned-producer's latest post on Instagram, shared to her 28.2 million followers on the platform. It contains a carousel of two images: the first a photograph of her 22-year-old daughter, Ava Phillippe, from a dinner date they are sharing together.
“Love my dinner date,” she captioned it, alongside a picture of a blonde, wavy-haired Ava – who has big blue eyes and a heart-shaped face, just like her mum – dressed casually in a white ribbed singlet T-shirt, with a purple cocktail and a menu in front of her.

The second image in the carousel is Reese, with an orange cocktail (and yes, we are super intrigued about what they're drinking…Aperol Spritz for Reese, maybe?) looking like a carbon copy of her daughter, who is currently a student at University of California but could just as well work as a professional lookalike for her famous parent…
We can't believe the resemblance, and it looks like Reese's followers share that sentiment. Some of the comments include: “Just straight up copy and paste”, “Mother and daughter??? NO, sisters”, “Okay, i'm sure you’re sisters hahah you’re VERY young and similar” and “Beautiful. Both look so much alike”.
Reese's celebrity mates have also weighed in – including Sharon Horgan, Zooey Deschanel and Gwyneth Paltrow, who have left a stream of compliments and heart emojis.

Ava is Reese's oldest child with her ex-husband, fellow actor Ryan Phillippe, whom she met in 1997 at her 21st birthday party and divorced in 2008. The couple also have a son, Deacon Reese Phillippe, 18, together. Reese has since remarried, to talent agent Jim Toth, and the pair have a son together, Tennessee James Toth, 9.
