The life of a royal family member comes with plenty of rules and regulations. For example, they can't sign autographs or take selfies with fans, show PDA or get a coloured mani to name a few. Furthermore, they aren't supposed to have social media accounts, but it seems that one royal is going against the grain.
Despite Meghan Markle deleting her blog and social media channels in preparation for being a part of the royal family, Princess Eugenie of York is doing the opposite.
Following in the footsteps of her sister, Princess Beatrice, who has her own Twitter account, she announced her personal Instagram account on International Women's Day, gaining an impressive 19,000 followers in just a few days.
She explained,
"I can think of no better day than today, International Women’s Day, to launch my personal Instagram. I hope to use this platform to share the causes, passions and people close to my heart. #scoliosis #iwd2018 #weday #firstpost"
Accompanying her debut post was a video of her giving a speech at the WE Day UK event on 7th March. In the emotive video, she discusses being diagnosed with scoliosis and how she overcame her struggle and refused to give up.
