If there's one shoe trend that no one can deny has been dominating the fashion landscape over the last few months, it's ballet flats.

From Miu Miu's pink satin pumps with ribbons up the leg to Alaïa's ‘Strass’ ballet flats, it didn't take long for the renowned influence of the world's most major designers to trickle down and impact the shoe offerings of our most beloved high street stores.

Good news for those of us who can't abide a skyscraper stiletto, but less so for those who've become accustomed to the comfort of those ballet flats: there's no denying the ‘It’ shoe right now is a pointed kitten heel. And, with so many epic iterations in stock, Mango is definitely our go-to for trialling the trend.

Whether you're more of a slingback girlie just looking for a little extra height, or you're keeping things as ground-level as possible via a teeny tiny kitten-heeled mule, there are endless high street iterations to scratch this new sartorial itch.

Just be sure not to resell or banish your ballet shoes entirely just yet… There's every chance that after a couple of days of back-to-back heel elevation—after months spent wearing those flats—you'll be craving a touch of balletcore respite.
