Emily Ratajkowski is serving serious style inspo at Paris Fashion Week. Attending the Acne Studios show with a whole host of Gen-Z icons last Wednesday – from Willow Smith to Bladee – we couldn't help but notice Em Rata's choice of footwear. Indeed, her boot style for the show follows one of the hottest trends for spring 2024 and is probably the most effective way to make a boring look look instantly high fashion.
For the AW24/25 Acne Studios show on 28th February – which was adorned with huge art installations by Estonian artist Villu Jaanisoo – Em Rata wore a plain white tee and a flowing, asymmetric skirt. Apart from a black Acne shoulder bag, the model and former GLAMOUR coverstar opted for zero accessories, letting her bright red, pointed toe, patent leather boots do the talking.

We've seen the trend for the colour red taking over other parts of our wardrobes, but this season, it's coming for our shoes. Red statement shoes are undeniably chic and very much on trend thanks to numerous designers including them on their runways, from Hermès to Balmain.
Plus, a bold red shoe – whether a pointed heeled boot like Em Rata or a more wearable pump – will instantly elevate an otherwise boring, colourless outfit. As with Em Rata's look, a simple dress can be styled with a pair of bright red boots, while a casual outfit of jeans, a T-shirt and blazer can be given a playful touch with a pair of red flats.
