Love Island is in full swing and we've already had enough drama to get us through a whole summer. This year, the islanders have been busy pulling each other for chats, diving headfirst into challenges, making full use of the Hideaway, whipping up morning coffees for each other and slurping water out of their water bottles.
And, good news, this season has some of our favourite Love Island types (on paper). There's the secret nepo baby (aka Dijon). There's the pro footballer bombshell — Harrison. And there's the loveable, outspoken Irish lass (after all, who will ever forget the iconic Maura Higgins?) Megan Forte Clarke is stepping into her large shoes this season… and breaking some brand new ground of her own.
Who is Love Island's Megan Forte Clarke?
The 24-year-old energy broker and musical theatre performer is originally from Dublin but is currently based in Brighton.
Last February, Megan signed with the agency Russell Smith Associates and, soon after graduated from the Brighton Academy. She's also appeared in a few pantomimes, including a 2024 production of Cinderella.
Why Megan joined Love Island
Before entering the villa, Megan told ITV that she was looking for someone with a “sense of humour.” She added, “I love a boy that’s a bit pasty, like Timothée Chalamet. I don’t mind scrawny, or a bit of a ‘dad bod’.”
When asked about her love life she said it would be called Hell and Horror or Literally Ghosted if it were a movie.
She also said she wasn't worried about her flirting skills. “I’ve got the Irish charm, I don’t have any one-liners, but I kind of take the mick out of people and have playful banter, it seems to work,” she said.

Megan's journey on Love Island so far
Megan entered the villa on day one. She picked Tommy's dating "profile" and was coupled up with him from the start.
For the first few weeks, the pair seemed to be getting along well. In fact, there was very little drama with either of them.
However, Conor, an Irish rugby player, soon made it clear that he was interested. Even though Conor had also joined at the beginning of the show, he was previously coupled up with Helena before he had a brief flirtation with American Toni and eventually seemed to settle with Emily, the Welsh bombshell.
The Irish rugby lad is already turning heads in the villa.

Although he claimed Emily was his “number one," it soon became pretty clear that his real interest was Megan — and she seemed to reciprocate. As she explained to some of the girls, she saw Tommy as a reliable, nice guy, but felt a little more sexual attraction when it came to Connor.
The girls were given the chance to choose a boy to recouple with, and, although she and Connor had been chatting, Megan chose to stick with Tommy. Things got more dramatic when some of the guys told Tommy what Megan had said about her attraction to Tommy. When he confronted her about it, she was seemingly pushed even further towards Connor and, soon enough, they were sharing a secret kiss on the terrace. We told you — drama!
