Lindsay Lohan (the h is silent, by the way) is back. The actor, who has taken a nearly decade-long break from acting, is a movie star again. She who should have an Oscar for her performance in The Parent Trap will give us the gift of her onscreen presence this holiday season in the Netflix film Falling for Christmas.
And the day is finally here. As of Thursday 10 November, the movie is waiting on Netflix for you to watch and enjoy. According to the actor, it was the ideal project for her return to the screen.
You can't deny that she looks great.

She told Refinery29: “The love of my life is making movies and bringing stories to life, characters to life, and sharing that with other people. So I got that itch and I was like, 'Okay, I'm ready.'"
Of the script, she added: “It was just a really lovely, heartwarming holiday movie, rom-com. And it was just perfect for me to come back with something like that.”
So what do we know about Falling For Christmas? On Monday, October 3 (you know what day that is), Lohan promoted the film and honoured the unofficial Mean Girls holiday when she shared a new poster for the movie like a self-promotion queen. Here's the post:

Netflix has also released some stills from the movie:
Here's the plotline, per Netflix:
“A newly engaged, spoiled hotel heiress gets into a skiing accident, suffers from total amnesia, and finds herself in the care of a handsome, blue-collar lodge owner and his precocious daughter in the days leading up to Christmas.”
This sounds like a role Lindsay Lohan was born to play, kind of like Lola in Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen. Joining Lohan in the cast of Falling for Christmas: Glee's Chord Overstreet, George Young, Jack Wagner, Olivia Perez, Alejandra Flores, Chase Ramsey, Sean Dillingham, and Antonio D. Charity.
She's giving us beauty inspo and a cute Christmas film.

Lohan has a two-picture deal with Netflix, and Falling for Christmas is the first. The second film is called Irish Wish and is due to come out on Netflix in 2023. Earlier this year Lohan told GLAMOUR US: “I feel like what we don’t have enough of right now is romantic comedies. And that’s exactly what it is: It’s a really fun, uplifting romantic comedy. When I read the script and when we started to film it, I didn’t realise how physically funny we were going to be. There’s a lot of physical comedy in it, which I really liked doing — it’s one of my favourite things to do, which I haven’t got to in a while.”
“This first movie was perfect for me, because I really want to do something happy and fun and family-oriented,” she continued. “I like doing that. I miss seeing romantic comedies, and less of the horror [genre]. I want to keep it happy.”
