There's no better pastime than testing out the coolest new skincare/makeup/hair trends and snazzy innovations in beauty tech from the comfort of your own home. That said, there's nothing more frustrating than spending upwards of £100 on a new at-home facial system or snazzy pair of hair straighteners, only to find out they don't *actually* work.
Enter: GLAMOUR Tries, the weekly Instagram series which sees GLAMOUR editors do all of the time-consuming (and expensive) work for you.
Yep, we've been busy trying out all of the wacky and wonderful beauty crazes to take the internet (read: TikTok) by storm – from the YSL lipstick printer to Il Makiage's iconic foundation and even the viral Hair Bedazzler tool from Amazon. These are the products every influencer/Gen-Z beauty sleuth/beauty editor is talking about on the internet – but that you want to be sure about before parting with your money.
Thanks to GLAMOUR Tries, you won't need to waste your hard-earned pennies on testing these innovations yourself. We're getting in their first, giving you the lowdown and ensuring you invest in products that genuinely work.
DYI spooky nails, sorted.

And this week, our Beauty Writer Shei Mamona is trying out an easy last-minute Halloween makeup look, for which she uses gems from Amazon and face stickers from Claire's.
“I'm about to show you a very DIY, very last-minute Halloween costume idea,” Shei says. “All you're going to need is gems (for the hair), eyelash glue, tweezers,” she also proceeds to show us the embellished face stickers that she's going to use for this look.
First, she carefully applies eyelash glue to every gem that she's going to use on top of her sleek-bun hairstyle. She points out that it's important to let the glue dry a bit, just until it gets sticky. “I left it for like 15 minutes,” she shares, as she starts applying the gems on her hair. “You have to be a little patient when you're applying the gems.” Next, she moved onto the face stickers: “…they were the easiest thing to apply.” “Ready in 45 seconds, let's go,” she says as she shows us the final result. And considering how little effort you have to put into this look, we'd say that it's pretty impressive.
