After a fabulous guest star spot in the latest series of Natasha Lyonne's Poker Face, Katie Holmes has made an announcement that will make the most nostalgic of millennials weep with joy.
She is set to reunite with her on-screen (and ex off-screen) Dawson's Creek love Joshua Jackson to write, direct and star in Happy Hours, a new film trilogy exploring the story of “young loves who reconnect as adults”. Sound familiar, Dawson's Creek fans? Filming has officially begun this summer.
The pair played on-screen lovers Joey Potter and Pacey Witter on Dawson's Creek, ultimately interrupting the show's repeated narrative that Joey should be with the title character Dawson, played by James Van Der Beek. Their chemistry was always off the charts, perhaps helped by the fact that they did date in real life. The pair have remained friends over the decades since Dawson's ended, and we can't wait to see what kind of story they bring to our screens next.
From Freakier Friday to the latest Jurassic World chapter, reboot nostalgia is therapy for our sentimental souls.

From castles to mysterious caves.

Katie has taken to Instagram to describe her excitement about Happy Hours, and working with Joshua once again.
“I am so very grateful to be working again with so many of my wonderful friends on this film HAPPY HOURS," she wrote in a post. "And working with Josh after so many years is a testament to friendship. HAPPY HOURS is a love story that includes so many people I adore. We can’t wait for everyone to see what we make.”
