Jennifer Lopez never misses an opportunity to show off her great style, and talking to Howard Stern about her latest movie, Kiss of the Spider Woman was no exception. She opted for a pair of cuffed jeans and brown booties for the occasion – a look that besides being very autumnal, reminds us all of the enduring importance of retro influences in today's aesthetic discourse.

The “Jenny From the Block” performer is known to be a lover of baggy trousers – especially those that allow her to show off another amazing pair of platform shoes. However, her admiration for retro silhouettes goes beyond the countless flared pieces in her wardrobe. During her first appearance on Howard Stern's radio show, she rocked another retro look with a pair of cuffed jeans, confirming that '70s fashion really is here to stay, especially during the coldest months of the year.

J.Lo loves to style formal garments with more casual ones, so it's no wonder she decided to combine these jeans with a denim shirt. The singer and actress took it to the next level with a grey blazer by Ralph Lauren, a black woven tie, belt and brown suede ankle boots with high heels.

It's worth mentioning that Jennifer Lopez's love for '70s cuffed jeans is no mere coincidence. After all, in the last few seasons, houses like Chloé, Etro and Isabel Marant have all brought back the bohemian look with flowing blouses and romantic ruffled dresses. A few decades ago, these denim trousers were established on the scene. Jane Birkin, for example, wore them in a casual way while strolling through the streets of London or Paris with a white shirt, heeled sandals and jumper around the shoulders.

Undoubtedly, both figures are a great reference for wearing cuffed jeans this season, either under a formal lens in Lopez's style, or a more casual one, Birkin's way.
