Hocus Pocus fans, rejoice. Disney Channel has confirmed that they're working on a new remake of the cult classic but with an entirely new cast.

The original film was released in 1993, starring Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy as three resurrected witches in Salem, Massachusetts. The new TV movie, which is airing on Disney Channel, will follow a similar storyline but feature a yet-to-be-confirmed new cast.

The film's original director, zKenny Ortega, who is also the man behind High School Musical and Descendants, will not be involved in the remake.

So far, all we know is that production is at an early stage and that the new script is being written by The Royals writer, Scarlett Lacey.

We wonder who they'll pick to fill the shoes of the original witch trio?

Here are a few other spooky films to watch in the meantime...
