H&M Studio AW24 is here and has, yet again, answered all of our seasonal wardrobe prayers

H&M is on a roll. From the Anamika Khanna collaboration to the Charlie XCX-fronted AW24 line-up, and now with the H&M Studio AW24 collection; the high-street retailer is showing the fashion industry how it's done. Much to the despair of our bank accounts.

If you thought your seasonal wardrobe updates could start and finish with a trench coat, some knitwear and a pair of loafers, think again. As well as those staples, H&M Studio AW24 slides in a demand for dark-wash denim, metallic weaves, thigh-high winter boots and XL accessories. And it all launched TODAY.

“This fall the design team was inspired by the strong but easy-going style of jazz musicians; throwing on a look and hitting the stage, then heading out into the night,” says Linda Wikell, concept designer at H&M. Not following? Think Ella Fitzgerald in polka dots, Nina Simone in diamante earrings, and suiting the likes of which Frank Sinatra and Nat King Cole would've swooned over.

So, what makes this drop different from the other AW24 designs? These limited-edition pieces come as part of the brand's Studio range, where styles are developed by an in-house design team at the Stockholm atelier and are crafted in more luxurious fabrics than you'd find in the main collections. Think cashmere, chrome-free leather, merino wool and organic cotton.

It coincides with what we've seen on the runways, too. From the stark whites seen at Marc Jacobs, Thom Browne, Christian Dior and Louis Vuitton, to the top-to-toe leather outfits at Comme des Garçons and Hermès, plus the faux fur and oversized outerwear that walked at Stella McCartney, H&M Studio has presented its own take on it all.

Launching today (26th September) in select stores and on hm.com, H&M Studio AW24 consists of over 50 items ranging from glamorous winter coats to party dresses – just in time for the season.
