There's one thing we know for sure right now. We'd love to be hanging out on a beach. With Hailey Bieber. After all, this is the woman who loves to match her beauty looks to her favourite cocktail – and name me a more fun pursuit on a hot summer's day? No, we couldn't either.
Case in point: when I spoke to Hailey on the eve of her Rhode Pocket Blush launch, she not only told me that for a summer blush look she would “consistently reach for Spicy Marg”, a bright coral hue, but she also declared “Aperol spritz makeup” the next big beauty trend.
Ready for glazed donut skin, a plumper pout and sun-flushed cheeks?

Then, last year, Hailey Bieber chose cocktail-themed nails for her 28th birthday. Her manicure, which gave a nod to both the frosting on her birthday cake and the martinis she was celebrating with, featured nail art by her long-time manicurist Zola Ganzorigt.

Each nail was painted a frosty pale blue—to capture the drink’s cloudiness—and featured a tiny stuffed olive garnish. Cue the dirty martini manicure was born and added to party season mood boards around the country.
As for summer 2025? Well, it seems it's all about ‘lemon drop martini’ nails, if the recent carousel Hailey posted to Instagram is anything to go by.
Looking chic in an all-black beach ensemble, including cowboy hat and black bikini, she shared close-up shots of her nails while misting her face with what could be a new Rhode product drop and contouring her lips with the Rhode Peptide Lip Shape. The caption read: “lemon drop martinis all summer long 👍🍋🍸.”
This wasn't just a run-of-the-mill butter yellow mani – this is Hailey Bieber after all, one of the forerunners of some of the biggest nail trends, who even managed to switch us onto moody ‘nightshade nails’ when pastels were having a moment this spring.
So, rather than just lean into butter yellow – a pastel shade that sits somewhere between canary and beige – Hailey opted for a slightly zestier shade of lemon and a smattering of teeny black polka dots over the top. It's punchy, it's playful and it leans into summer's love-affair with acid-bright hues that pop against tanned skin.
Fancy recreating Hailey's manicure at home? Opt for a nail polish such as Nailberry Oxygenated Nail Lacquer in Simply The Zest or Hermès Les Mains Hermès Nail Polish in Jaune Polnlen. Then take the tip of a toothpick, dip into into a black nail polish and dab in onto the nail to create a series of dots. Et voilà - lemon drop martini nails!
