Gisou is among the top tier of socially anointed beauty brands. The hashtag #gisou has over 600 million hits and its hero products, like the Honey Infused Lip Oil, have their own dedicated fan following.
When the brand's OG lip oil launched in 2022, it quickly picked up hype for drenching lips in a syrupy cocktail of honey, fruit oils and hyaluronic acid in one sweep, that not only left lips feeling nourished, it also added a golden hour filter, thanks to the sheer golden tint.
The ‘Shimmer Glow’ version quickly followed to bring some extra sparkle in the sunshine and now, after years of fans requesting a fuller shade range, Gisou has teased three new juicy colours. And, we got the chance to try all three out before their launch on 28th March. Here's what you need to know….
Each is inspired by fruit and share the same hydrating blend as their big sis, including honey from founder Negin Mirsalehi's bee garden, but this time they've been supercharged with the addition of jojoba and meadow foam for even more hydration. And, instead of the OG's famous golden hue, they each offer up a different juicy colour and scent.
Watermelon Sugar
This is the most subtle of the trio and reads as a sheer, silky pink shimmer on lips. It has a juicy watermelon flavour and is perfect if you just want a pretty topper to your natural lip colour or to layer on top of a lip liner.
Mango Passion Punch
This has a fun frutti-tutti feel to it and offers up a wash of sheer hot coral. It's bang on trend since juicier orange and peach shades are set to explode this spring-summer, but it's a subtle way to lean in if you don't want to go too loud with it, plus the mango flavour is addictive.
Strawberry Sorbet
Ready for the return of strawberry girl summer, this sheer pinky red is likely to be a fan favourite. It's cute, it's fun, it will work seamlessly with the juicy glazed strawberry blushes that are already trending and the mouth-watering strawberry scent is a whole endorphin hit.
