The trailer for Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life is finally here! This is your first proper look at the Gilmore Girls revival episodes so, basically, feel free to go "HOORAY!" for the next two minutes.

All of the main players will return - yes, Melissa McCarthy included! - with the sad exception of Edward Herrmann who played Richard Gilmore. Herrmann, who played the family patriarch throughout the first seven seasons, died in 2014, and in the trailer we see that his character has been honoured in typical Emily Gilmore fashion with a gigantic portrait that takes up the entire wall.

And wow, it's good to be back in Stars Hollow. Especially with these guys (dawwww).

And check out these three new posters! Emily is now a Marie Kondo fan and getting rid of anything that doesn't spark joy which, apparently, includes the dining room chairs.

The three Gilmore women are feeling confused and, as Lorelai puts it - hazy. Rory has no job and no credit (what happened after she followed the Obama trail?), Lorelai and Luke are happy (!), but Lorelai's missing something, and Emily is feeling lost after losing the man she was married to for 50 years.

It's a good time to be a Scorpio, isn't it Luke?

We've also loved the nostalgic flashback posts the Gilmore Girls Instagram has been posting.
