The Critics Choice Awards 2025 got underway last night (7th Feb), having been postponed twice due to the devastating LA wildfires. The prestigious awards show, held at Santa Monica’s Barker Hangar, was understandably a more muted affair than usual. However, A-listers still turned up in their droves to celebrate the finest cinematic achievements of the past year.
Last week's Grammy Awards certainly set the bar high for red-carpet fashion, and thankfully, celebrities (and their stylists) rose to the occasion at the Critics Choice Awards. While Nicole Kidman opted for a structured suit-and-pants combo from Saint Laurent spring 2025, former GLAMOUR cover star Lupita Nyong'o dialled up the divine feminine in a Chanel floral lace mini dress.
And it looks like the corset trend isn't going anywhere. Ariana Grande (nominated for Best Supporting Actress in Wicked), Demi Moore (winner of Best Actress for The Substance), and Dakota Fanning (nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Limited Series for Ripley) all referenced the Victorian fashion staple.
