Beauty, like fashion, is cyclical, which means it's only a matter of time before you'll see classic looks referenced back at you. Cara Delevingne executed this perfectly when she took the LACMA Art + Film Gala red carpet in LA on 3rd November, which celebrates current trailblazers in the Arts, as well as paying homage to the history of the film industry.
Channelling old-school Hollywood glamour, Cara turned to celebrity hair stylist Irinel de León to create a charming vintage updo that nodded to another screen icon, Audrey Hepurn.
The hairstyle featured a cropped micro fringe that sat a couple of inches above Cara's famous groomed brows, while the back was swept into a mid-height knot, rather than the French twist or chignon regularly favoured by Hepburn, to give it a modern, mussy touch.

Vintage beauty has been infiltrating beauty trends for the last few seasons with the Old Money aesthetic kicking off a renewed infatuation with throwback references. This summer, in particular, we saw the rise of '50s hair, makeup and fashion, paying tribute to the likes of Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly, Marilyn Monroe and Brigitte Bardot. Celebrities including Beyonce, Sabrina Carpenter, Kendall Jenner and Elsa Hosk have all been channelling the style, with cat-eye sunglasses, pillarbox red lips, silk hair scarves and retro hair.
Not only is Cara's most recent style bang on trend, it's possible to replicate it without any drastic chops to your fringe. We think Irinel achieved this look either with a faux hair piece, or by fashioning the ends of Cara's hair into a dinky fringe.
Heading into party season, this is one of the most charming hairstyles to try for winter.
Alongside her hair, Cara kept her makeup classic, tapping up celebrity makeup artist, Shelby Smith, for an equally vintage makeup look, featuring strong straight brows, defined cat-eyes, rosy cheeks and a nude-pink lip.
As for the outfit, Cara wore a black Gucci cut-out gown that exposed her midriff and back. Like her glam it was a blend of a trad silhouette, with a modern twist.
So, for one of the cutest hairstyles to add to your locker, we'll be saving this Cara Delevingne look for later.
