Ladies and gentlemen, Blur are back.
The Britpop pioneers have unveiled their first album in 12 years, entitled The Magic Whip, to be released on 27 April.
The band first started working on the record in 2013 in Hong Kong, and Damon Albarn told the Guardian that the album is similar in style to the music David Bowie made in his Berlin era.
It has also been announced that Blur will headline Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park on 20 June. The band has already played at Hyde Park four times prior.
The news was announced at a press conference in a Chinese restaurant in London, hosted by Zane Lowe, today.
