Blake Lively is becoming something of a fashion chameleon. Her promotional tour for upcoming film It Ends With Us has been a masterclass in theme dressing, with an array of floral outfits dominating the red carpet in tribute to her on-screen character, florist Lily Bloom (get it?).
To date, we've had a floral Chanel trouser suit, a halter neck vintage dress by Vivienne Westwood and, not forgetting, the tulle skirt, bralette and flowery embroidered jacket combo, all of which showed a softer, more saccharine side to the actor.

But on August 5, she debuted a more unexpected outfit choice. Blake Lively took her wardrobe (and the temperature) up several notches when she stepped out in New York City wearing a pair of jeans with faux leather chaps.
If it weren't for the delicate floral embroidery on the chaps (yes the flower theme is still going strong), you would be forgiven for thinking that she'd stolen the outfit from Christina Aguilera's 'Dirrty' era wardrobe.
Blake paired the look with black heeled sandals; a chunky, camel cardigan; a shiny, tan, leather-look vest top with spaghetti straps and an eclectic mix of jewellery.
To offset the gold hoops dangling from her ears, she loaded up her left arm with various oversized, mismatched bangles – another major Y2K trend.
While her outfit was daring, her makeup was typically pared back with bronzer, a subtle brown smoky eye and a nude lip, while her honey-hued hair was side-swept, allowing the bouncy waves to cascade over one shoulder.
It's not the first time that Blake has leant into Y2K denim fashion choices. In June she arrived at a screening of It Ends with Us in Texas wearing a pair of embroidered, cut-out Valentino jeans. And having done some detective work, we can confirm that Blake's jeans with chaps are, in fact, from Stella McCartney's Resort 2025 Collection.
Given we've all embraced the cowboy boot trend this season, maybe Blake's modern Western vibe is a precursor to what we'll all be wearing next Spring for a night out?
Today’s word is florals!
