The rumour mill has been in overdrive again. Its latest victim? The leader of the beehive – Beyonce. If you spend time on Beyonce's internet, you will probably be familiar with the allegations that Queen Bey pays exorbitant amounts of money to fly her own toilet seats around the world with her while on tour.
Granted, many fans did not question this. To many, Beyonce is not a mere mortal, she's the queen, and queen's deserve the best. However, some fans did question what level of boujee you'd have to be to do such thing, as well as what percentage of the tour budget actually went towards it?
When they said ‘waterproof’, this is what they meant.
Since Beyonce has embarked on the Renaissance World Tour, people can't get enough of what Queen B really gets up to, to the minute detail, including what setting sprays she uses to withstand a two hour set, or perhaps even if she uses toilet seats that have been used by others?
We wish we were being satirical here, but it seems like the beehive always needs to be to be in the know. So when backstage images at the Renaissance Tour started circulating, it was only natural that the one that had a large container labelled “Beyonce” and “Toilet Seats” in large red font caught the eye of the super fans.
This, of course, fulled speculation about the lengths to which Beyonce might go to ensure her comfort while on the road. No wonder this captured the attention of fans and media outlets, so much so that they started reporting incorrectly on the contents of the box, assuming that this Beyonce-level of luxury extended to disposable toilet seating and an astronomical cost associated with it.

However, Ms. Tina Knowles has officially put the rumours to bed. As she's stopped by TMZ for an unprompted interview at the airport yesterday, Beyonce's mother couldn't help but laugh at the notion that her daughter would demand her own toilet seats to be flown around the world.
She succinctly and humorously dismissed the rumour stating, “That is so ridiculous. They are stands that you put fans on… they're called toilet seats.” With that charming smize, Ms. Knowles finally debunked toilet-seat-gate.

While Beyonce undoubtedly travels with a team that ensures her comfort and preferences are met, the idea of flying toilet seats around the world for her personal use sadly turned out to be nothing more than an amusing misunderstanding. Are we the only ones that are low key disappointed by the turn of events in these chaotic headlines?
In the words of our Queen Bey, ‘Diva is the female version hustla’, but this diva doesn't fly her toilet seats first class… a humble queen.
