Beyoncé and Jay-Z have lost their court battle to trademark the name of their baby daughter, Blue Ivy Carter.
The couple, who welcomed Blue Ivy in January, wanted to secure the rights to the name in order to launch a range of baby products.
They applied for the trademark soon after she was born, but were contested by the owner of Blue Ivy Events company in Boston.
According to the Boston Fox, a judge ruled in favour of the events company own Veronica Alexandra, who registered the trademark in 2009.
