When you think of Bestival, you think of fancy dress, fun and
fantasy. So you honestly can't imagine a better band to headline
than the Flaming Lips. Only the backdrop of a giant psychedelic
vagina giving birth to Wayne Coyne onstage could have eclipsed the
fancy dress 'fantasy' theme of all the smurfs, unicorns, false
eyelashes and tonnes of glitter.

Coyne and the band had their usual wonderful giant balloons and
dancers - this time dressed head-to-toe in bright orange - and of
course the obligatory monster-sized bubble to roll over the crowd.
The Lips were a visual crowd-pleaser with plenty of interaction and
gave everyone the spectacle they were looking for.

Another highlight was garage superstar Dizzee Rascal. Having seen
the Rascal at Glastonbury, we couldn't wait to see him again and he
certainly lived up to everyone's expectations. Dizzee got the crowd
on their feet with his usual jump-up style and brimming catalogue
of hits.

Whether it's Jedi Master Yoda dancing with geisha girls or
colourful Oompa Loompas bobbing around.. where else could you find
such a festival site?

Rob Da Bank's Bestival is a journey of fairy tales and a perfect
end to the festival season.. one that we can't wait for again next
