In a candid interview with Teen Vogue, Bella Hadid has opened up about her split from The Weeknd.
Talking of her heartbreak in the Young Love issue, 20-year-old Hadid said: "Love hurts, but you have to pull through."
"It was my first breakup… and so public. As an outsider, you might think I handled it so well, but it’s always in your heart, and you always feel it very heavily. It'll be hard for a while."
She continued: "I’ll always respect him, and I’ll always love him. Sometimes you want to be sad about it or handle it differently, but at the end of the day, you never want to burn a bridge that you’ve fought so hard to build."
Hadid and The Weeknd, who's real name is Abel Tesfaye, split in November 2016 after almost two years together due to conflicting schedules.
Earlier this year, The Weeknd was spotted out looking cosy with Selena Gomez. It has since emerged that the pair are dating.
