There is nothing quite as joyous as learning of a surprise celebrity wedding- especially one where you get a peek at some of the epic wedding guest dresses worn by numerous A-listers, not to mention the actual bride herself.
Well, Anya Taylor-Joy and Malcolm McRae's wedding which took place over the weekend in Venice was something else and by that we mean, it really was a sight to behold. In images released by the MailOnline, as well as a scattering of Instagram pictures shared by guests, it was clear this was one helluva lavish weekend.
The 27-year-old revealed she she stopped looking in mirrors due to online comments making fun of her appearance.

The actor and her musician husband had made their official vows last summer with a courthouse wedding but chose this weekend to threw a party for more than 150 guests - including the likes of Cara Delevingne, Julia Garner, Nicholas Hoult, Miles Teller and his wife, Keleigh.
The couple reportedly got hitched at the historic Palazzo Pisani Moretta – a 15th-century palace on Venice’s Grand Canal.

Before the big day, Anna was spotted enjoying a cup of coffee on her balcony before appearing hours later wearing a jaw-dropping creamy ballgown, with embroidered birds and flowers embellished. According to W Magazine, the custom-made dress was created by Dior and featured a tiered, nude, tulle fabric, punctuated by a corseted bodice and princess-style skirt. The star chose a classic gauzy white veil to wear alongside it.
Guests reportedly arrived Bond-style via water taxi to the venue, which was once the longtime residence of the noble Pisani-Moretta family. Today, it serves as a stunning boutique hotel, which, presumably, the couple rented out for themselves and guests.
Following the couple’s nuptials, the palace also hosted the star-studded party where guests donned masquerade-style masks. The following day, as reported by People, they newlyweds shared a nearby brunch at the St.Regis.

Anya and Malcolm – who started dating in May 2021 – have kept most of their relationship out of the spotlight.
Malcolm spoke openly about being head-over-heels for Anna shortly after they met, admitting on Instagram in March 2022 about his track Really Want to See You Again: “I wrote this song for Anya two days after meeting her.”
Swift came close to breaking the number one wedding guest rule.
That same month, Anna also opened up her relationship to British Vogue. “I've finally found someone who will happily sit in silence with me reading. We’re basically 80 years old and 7 at the same time, and it works really well.”
Too sweet, big congrats you guys!
