Amelia Gray Hamlin is keeping free-the-nipple movement alive.
The model, ex-girlfriend of Scott Disick, and daughter of former Real Housewife of Beverly Hills Lisa Rinna wore sheer periwinkle Alaïa to the CFDA Fashion Awards on November 6, ensuring that the sheer-dress trend survives another day. Her see-through floor-length column gown featured a turtleneck and voluminously puffy sleeves that had ruffles going only halfway up, which gave the impression of decorative cuffs that aspired to more.
Under the figure-skimming gown, Hamlin wore high-waist, high-cut bikini briefs and no bra. To complete her look, she wore a heavy bangle bracelet on each wrist and slicked her hair into a severe high ponytail.
Bare nipples have become a popular red carpet trend in the past year, making Hamlin’s choice daring but not groundbreaking. Florence Pugh and Rita Ora, for instance, are well known for going bare under very sheer dresses. “I’ve never been scared of what’s underneath the fabric,” Pugh said in a 2023 Vogue interview.
And, as you can see, neither is Amelia Gray Hamlin.
