Speaking about that now infamous scything scene which landed Aidan the honour of being GLAMOUR's reigning Seixest Man, he says: "I wasn't going to take my top off until we were doing it. It was my suggestion, stupidly enough. It was mid-August and they're working outside - it wouldn't make sense to have the shirt on. I didn't know what I was letting myself in for."
The first season of Poldark pulled in over eight million viewers - a ten-year high for BBC One - and beat Bake Off to win the Radio Times Audience Award. As to what we can expect in the rest of the second season, Aidan teases: "There's a lot going on for Ross and Demelza [Eleanor Tomlinson] in season two. They've been through the real highs and lows of the first tender years of marriage. It will be a big story arc."
