Heres what we thought.

Professional facial treatments and skincare devices have always been popular with celebrities, influencers and skintellectuals, but these devices and treatments can often be expensive. Enter GESKE, a German holistic beauty tech brand that combines quality German tech, AI technology, and dermatologist expertise to give you the power to have your own salon day at home for a fraction of the price.

The brand boasts over 250 skincare devices and even has its own app that identifies problems with your skin and helps you build a routine around your specific skin concern. As for price point? The tools start from as little as £7.95.

Our team managed to get our hands on a wide range of Geske products to try them out. Here's what we thought when we put them to the test…

Product: Warm & Cool Eye Energiser

While I'm not quite sure I'd have time to add the Geske Warm & Cool Eye Energiser device to my routine every single day, I absolutely loved testing it – largely because it's unlike any skincare device I've used before. I've used cleansing brushes, facial massage tools and LED, but something designed specifically for the under-eye area was missing in my collection.

It's crafted to improve the absorption of your favourite eye creams and eye serums, using SmartSonic Pulsation Technology with over 11,000 pulsations a minute. You simply hold it over your under-eye area after applying your eye cream to massage your product into the skin, stimulate pressure points, promote blood circulation and - over time - reduce the appearance of dark circles and lines.

I loved the cold setting in the morning – it made me feel awake and refreshed – and the warmer, more relaxing setting in the evening before bed. It's not too expensive, either, so if you're looking for a high-tech device without breaking the bank, I'd totally recommend.

Product: Aqua-Stream Face Cleanser

I'm always on the hunt for the perfect at-home facial tool and the Geske Facial Cleaning Solution seemed promising. It did a commendable job of deep cleansing; I could see and feel the difference in the cleanliness of my skin, particularly around the larger pores on my nose. However, one con is the small water tank which needs to be refilled frequently, which makes it a bit more fiddly.

The device's suction power is impressive, almost too impressive. It's effective in removing impurities, but the pressure felt intense on some areas of my skin. After using it, my skin felt a little riled-up, so for those with sensitive skin, this could be a dealbreaker.

Overall, it was great for deep cleansing. It's a solid tool if you're looking for a thorough clean, but the powerful suction might not be for everyone.

Product: MicroCurrent Face-Lifter 6 in 1

When I was first handed the GESKE SmartApp Guided Micro Current Face-Lifter 6 in 1 to review for GLAMOUR’s 5 People Test, I was somewhat taken aback – thinking that the lovely Shaunelle, who organises our reviews, had handed me a sex toy to sample. Yes, the smooth, black vibrating GESKE device does indeed share visual similarities. And, I might add, the results are almost as good (euphoria of a very different kind, mind you – and I wouldn’t advise under any circumstances to use it as a sex toy).

I am a bit of a skin tech skeptic and can’t really be faffed with downloading an app from a QR code, charging the device etc. BUT, once I got the hang of how to use it, I was hooked. After just two 5-10 minute sessions, whereby you apply the Hydrating MicroCurrent Gel and then massage the tingling GESKE Face-Lifter along the bone structure of your face and neck in upward movements, I noticed visible results. My skin was glowing, lines around my eyes and on my forehead visibly reduced and everything felt firmer.

The electric jolts got a bit much when I went around the more sensitive and thinner-skinned eye area, and that freaked me out a bit. Plus the gel tends to flake off and become a bit tacky – but my skin was noticeably smoother, my jawline more pronounced and the skin seemed stimulated after each session, giving a great glow. I think this would be a great quick-fix to boost your skin before a special event or night out. But I wouldn’t use it every day.

Product: Touchless Magnetic Peeling Mask

After seeing them all over TikTok and social media, I was intrigued by the concept of a magnetic face mask, and what kind of benefits it would have for my skin in comparison to a traditional mask.

I applied the mask with the (actually very handy) applicator and let it sit on my skin for 10 minutes. Unlike other face masks, this does not dry down and stays wet on your face whilst it sucks impurities out of your skin and pores. The actual magnet device is very sleek and comes in a wide range of colours including this beautiful hot pink. It also doubles as a facial massager, to stimulate collagen production and improve skin appearance.

To remove it, you simply hover the magnetic wand over your face and watch it pull the mask away. Whilst it did a good job of removing the mask from the sides of my face, my chin and forehead, the shape of the device made it a little tricky to manoeuvre around my eye and nose area, so I just wiped that bit off.

After use my skin looked smooth and a bit firmer, and I noticed a reduction in the amount of oil on my skin. Going forward, I'd use the mask as a monthly treatment, however the device's facial massage capabilities will be a regular in my routine, as my skin felt refreshed and plump after use.

Product: Sonic Thermo Facial Brush & Face Lifter

I'm the first to admit that I'm something of a skincare novice, so electronic facial devices have always felt a little intimidating to me. That said, when I sat down to unbox my GESKE device, I was immediately impressed with how user-friendly it was. Scanning a QR code within the device's box, I was directed to setup the app which did a face scan and had three suggested 'routines' loaded up for me.

Though the Sonic Thermo Facial Brush is billed primarily as a tool to help open up pores before skincare, it also has microcurrent tech that helps with skin toning, among several other features. After cleansing my face as normal, I applied GESKE's hydrating microcurrent gel and followed the rejuvenating facial lift video tutorial via the app. The tool itself glided easily across my face and as with most microcurrent tools, I noticed a slight prickle when using – though nothing out of the ordinary. Instructions on the tutorials were very clear which I appreciated, while the tool itself fit easily in my palm. When I finished my routine I felt like I had a subtle glow and my nasolabial folds seemed less prominent.

Overall, GESKE has managed to make facial devices feel accessible – which is no small feat. The only possible thing I could fault was that I had issues with the tool turning off a couple of times while I was halfway through my routine, but with the press of a few buttons this was easily fixed.
