Sophie Cockett

Based in London and specialising in fashion and beauty, Sophie is Glamour's Senior European Commerce Editor. Sophie joined the Glamour UK team as Commerce Writer in January 2020, before being promoted to Senior European Commerce Editor in March 2023. It is Sophie's role to oversee the shopping content strategy for Glamour UK, Glamour Germany and Glamour Spain.

Sophie trained in journalism at the University of Sheffield, and has been testing beauty and fashion launches for the past eight years (for six years at Glamour; two years for digital wedding magazine Hitched) – all in a bid to bring trustworthy, authentic shopping recommendations to readers. Reviewing the best LED face masks is a particular passion project for Sophie (she recently spoke on BBC Radio 4 about the rise of red light therapy devices), as is planning Glamour's coverage for Amazon Prime Day, Black Friday and the Glamour Gift Shop.

Other career highlights? Sophie has interviewed celebrities including Sofia Richie, Nicole Richie and Jade Thirlwall to hear about their product recommendations, has been recognised for her contribution to Glamour's affiliate strategy with a PPA 30 Under 30 award and BSME Best Affiliate Team 2023 award, and has also written for Cosmopolitan UK, Stylist, Dazed Beauty, You & Your Wedding.

In Sophie's spare time, find her travelling (she has written about her experiences for Conde Nast Traveller), trying her hand at photography, checking out the latest London restaurant openings and posting her favourite high-street fashion finds on TikTok.
