Winnie Harlow gives emotional speech about her best friend at the GLAMOUR Awards
Winnie Harlow accepted her GLAMOUR Award from Editor Jo Elvin last night before delivering a heart-warming speech which centred around her best friend.
The model, who discussed her admiration for her single mother and also said she is "much more than" just her skin, dedicated her award to her BFF Shannon Hamilton.
Shannon, who was in the audience, was tragically shot in both legs in July 2016. Winnie told her story while up on stage, and expressed how overjoyed she was that Shannon is now walking again.
"I'm so blessed to still have my best friend here with me," she said to the crowd.
She continued: "I want her to live her dreams the same way I am living mine."
