Kendall Jenner and co. get tattooed for V Magazine (kinda)

Models are famously discouraged from making big changes to their appearance. A punky pixie crop would have to go through their agency, while a face piercing could cut down their work severely, and a big tattoo is totally out of the question. Until now that is...

For V Magazine’s V105 six-cover special issue (all of which you can see below), a whole host of supermodels and actresses were adorned with tattoos to celebrate the issue's theme of rebellion.

Now, of course the tattoos aren't real (we can't see Kendall Jenner wanting a snake curling all the way up her thigh), but we kind of love seeing our favourite models in this punky new light.

Along with the six amazing covers, the ladies shed light on their personal biggest acts of rebellion and who they think embodies it.

“She managers to pull everything off. She can do no fashion wrong!” Kendall Jenner said on why she thinks Rihanna is queen of the rebels.

For Carolyn Murphy, her biggest act of rebellion was quitting modelling: “Leaving the industry at the height of my career to live in Costa Rica, turning down a career as an actress because I didn’t want to deal with fame... not sure if that all makes me “bad ass” or just plain crazy.”

Whereas Amber Valetta's biggest rebellion was all for a good cause: “The most bad ass thing I’ve done in fashion was in the 1990s. I got Versace, the biggest supermodels, the best hair and makeup all to fly to my hometown Tulsa, Oklahoma, for a charity fashion show. It was for the local food bank and we raised about $300,000.”
