We've spotted our fair share of quirky properties on Airbnb when searching for our next holiday destination, but treehouse Airbnbs are the type of lodgings we never expected to peak our interest. Once associated solely with childhood games of make-believe, treehouses have made a comeback and are now very much adult-appropriate (and luxe), too.
Treehouse Airbnbs stand out among the rest when it comes to finding unique Airbnbs. Perhaps its the off-grid aspect that appeals to so many, or the other-worldly feel of sleeping amongst the forest canopies, but the more we look at all the vertiginous offerings the more we desperately want to stay in one.
The on-again-off-again relationship we've had with holidays up until recently means we're all about booking a vacation that adheres to our wellness needs, and what better way to truly relax than by switching off in the midst of nature itself?
Not only is a treehouse Airbnb gloriously secluded (for those who still wish to avoid the crowds), but they're a sustainable option too. Allowing you to take things back to basics, a lot of the above-ground abodes we've found come complete with outdoor washing areas and open-air kitchens.
