Topshop just launched its new Boutique collection and our Fashion Editor wants the lot
With a new season on the horizon, the fashion set have got their eyes set firmly on a serious sartorial update. So you can imagine the industry's delight when Topshop gave a sneak peek of their new Boutique collection, bursting with luxurious fabrics, oversized silhouettes, and deep, pillowy coats. Swoon.
Launching today, Topshop Boutique's AW19 offering boasts a 34-piece extravaganza, with endless pieces designed to entice you towards autumn and have you turn your back on summer without even a second glance.
Loose tailoring in leathers, silks, and bold, primary colours meets bang-on-trend checked prints and slit-hems, while outerwear welcomes a smorgasbord of options, from streamlined, mid-length coats to bulkier, cosier jackets.
Inevitably, I want the lot. But if I had to be picky (and my bank balance says that I do), I'd head straight for the fleecy, waist-tied jacket, the red leather shirt dress (and I'm terrified of red - so that tells you how great it is), and the black and gold printed midi.
Designed in-house, Topshop's Boutique collection is the high street stalwart's more grown-up, trend-aware offering, appealing to a slightly more fashion-conscious shopper who's willing to push the style boundaries and experiment with their aesthetic. Outsourcing a lot of its production to small East End manufacturers, they're able to create a luxury product with a relatively affordable - in high-fashion terms, at least - price tag.
Prices in the autumn collection range from £20 to £795.
