The biggest celebrity hair transformations of 2015

From new cuts to colours, styles and accessories, there have been many celebrity hair changes throughout 2015.

While many took the plunge and chopped off their longer locks in favour for shorter bobs or 'lobs' (take Khloe Kardashian and Dakota Johnson, for example), many also dabbled in pastel hair shades, like Kylie Jenner and Nicole Richie. Some stars opted for longer styles and grew out there hair - just take Harry Styles and Frankie Bridge.

There were other memorable hair transformations during the year... Remember Kim Kardashian's ice-blonde phase, Gigi's faux-bob or Rita's pixie cut? Course you do.

Dakota Johnson became our beauty hero this year, and we love any look on her. Here she was near the beginning of the year with full bangs

However later in the year, she took the plunge and cut her hair into a gorgeous bob and swept her bangs to the side.

Kylie Jenner was the biggest chameleon of the year when it comes to hairstyles. The star had a number of different colours and cuts, including a sleek bob.

She also had a bit of a blonde phase, but (like her sister Kim's) it didn't last long.

Her boldest look of the year has to be this one, where she dyed her hair a bold green shade. It was daring, that's for sure...

The comeback of Adele meant a new hair look. In November, she rocked our worlds with this curled blonde long bob.

But she took the look even further in December during her X Factor performance, when she debuted this new short bob style... we approve, Adele.

2015 was quite a year for
Gigi Hadid... and indeed, her hair. The model's gorgeous long locks were seen throughout the year, until...

... she rocked up with this incredible slicked-back bob at the 2015 MTV awards. Sadly (we really like this look) the bob was indeed faux and therefore only temporary. If you ever want to permanently go for the chop, we are totally on board, Gigi.

Ellie Goulding was another star who opted for a shorter cut this year. We think this bob, complete with curled ends, really suits her.

In October, however, Ellie's hair took another turn when she appeared on the red carpet during the MTV awards with an orange 'do. The style divided opinion, but certainly made the star stand out.

Another star who loves to experiment with hair cuts and colours is Nicole Richie. Not many people could get away with this hot pink pixie cut, but Nicole totally can.

She didn't stop there, though, and dared to go grey in December 2015. We actually think it really suits her!

This year it's all been about X Factor presenter Caroline Flack's hair. She started the year with her classic ombre style cut into a wavy bob.

During the huge X Factor hype, Caroline grabbed our attention by experimenting with a silvery-purple hair dye.

Toward the end of the year, the presenter had another change, and dyed her locks with a bright ice-blonde dye. We think we like her lilac phase the most, as it's fun and also really suits her.
