These shoe storage ideas will save you tonnes of space (and make your hallway look that much tidier)
I love getting myself organised, and that includes my interiors. So if you're looking for shoe storage ideas, you've come to the right place.
Having a good clear out, clean, and shift around of everything I own is my favourite way to feel like I’ve got my life together. Putting my belongings back in their place and donating or recycling the things I don’t want or need anymore gives me a bit of a thrill, but recently I’ve noticed I’m lacking something: shoe storage.
I’m a bit of a hoarder when it comes to footwear; I own enough boots, fashion trainers, sandals and heels that you’d think I was a spider with eight legs. At the moment I sort of shove everything at the bottom of my wardrobe or under my bed frame, there’s no dedicated space for my beloved shoes (finding a pair is always a nightmare), so that got me googling for shoe storage ideas pronto.

How do you organise shoes in a small space?
If you’re short on space in your home, things like this 12-tier over door shoe rack from La Redoute or these underbed storage boxes from Amazon are perfect. They both utilise space that’s already there, and gives you the opportunity to actually make it useful. You could also opt for things like ottomans, which make for extra seating when you have guests, that double up as storage inside.
What can I use for shoe storage?
If you’re already looking for a console table, side table or bench for your hallway then why not invest in something that could be used as shoe storage as well? The Baltimore Hallway Shoe Bench from Argos or the Homidec Shoe Rack from Amazon are great examples of how to utilise the space you were going to fill anyway.

Channel your inner Marie Kondo with wardrobe organisers such as this hanging shoe rack from Amazon or the ANYDAY collapsible shoe cubby from John Lewis. Again, they both make use of space that’s already there - so I’ll be buying several.
