I ditched my expensive hair straighteners for this £21 pair and my hair has never been softer

Nope, I'm not having you on.

These days, I feel as though I’ve used a heat protectant spray and the world’s best hair mask, yet the only time either of those touch my hair is when the hairdresser applies them for me. Oops.

Of course, the new-found glossiness of my locks might have a little something to do with the fact that my new tool doesn’t frazzle my hair within an inch of its life. Unlike my more expensive straighteners, I can adjust the temperature using a dial which sits between the plates.

Even on a lower setting, de-frizzing is a much quicker process than it ever was before. The irons slide through my hair effortlessly, always making it feel lightweight and never making it static. Frizzies and flyaways are a thing of the past… And did I mention the heat-proof mat you also get thrown in for the price? So. Handy.

Nothing in life is perfect, of course, but these straighteners come pretty close. To be honest, the only problem with them is that they probably won’t last as long as my last ones did. But at the price of four pints down my local? I’m not really too bothered.
