Pretty Halloween makeup inspiration for when gory's not your bag

We've all been there. A few drinks into a Halloween knees-up, we go to the loo and sh***********t! WTF is that in the mirror?

Ah yep, whoops. That's us, dressed like Pennywise with freaky fangs and a creepy clown smile. Once you've peeled yourself off the ceiling, it might be time to accept that perhaps you're less hardcore than you first thought. And maybe that kid in Mean Girls had it right; "that's a scary mask, bro."

For those of us who are best off keeping it strictly PC, we've rounded up some slightly glossier alternative to goo and guts. We're talking Marvel heroes, perhaps a Disney villain or two, skulls bedazzled with glitter rather than blood, fairies, pixies, woodland creatures (n'awww), pop art and even The Joker, just waaaay less scary.
