Why we'll be wearing platforms shoes this summer...

I think a shoe can make or break an outfit and this summer it's all about the platform shoe.

If you want to brave these big statement shoes, think back to the shows this year where Gucci, Balenciaga and Marc Jacobs were all waving the flag for platforms - the crazier and bolder the better.

Platforms work well with boots or shoes dependent on your style preferences, but keep in mind that boots can cut you off if you have shorter legs, so wear with trousers - (maybe a high waisted skinny pair to show the shoes off?).

If you find it hard to walk in heels steer clear of this trend but bear in mind that of all heel types this is the most comfortable, practical and easy to walk!
