The 12 Oscars looks EVERYONE'S talking about
Awards season reached its peak last night with the Oscars - a catwalk parade like no other.
You've seen all the looks, you've read the fashion critics' verdict, but what were the looks that got everyone talking - the real conversation starters? To sum, Lady Gaga inexplicably went for a look that gave her instant camel toe, Pharrell showcased his mankles and Kate Winslet looked back to her Year 11 school prom for style inspiration.
From the great (hello Jennifer Lawrence) to the more questionable, we celebrate the outfits that attracted most attention:

Why would you wear an outfit that gives you instant camel toe? While we applaud Lady Gaga's experimental two-looks-in-one ensemble, we're unpleasantly distracted by the camel toe situation.

Sponsored by Dior once again, Jennifer Lawrence went for a more sultry gothic look than we've become accustomed to - begone were her previously favoured grecian-meets-princess gowns. It's by far one of the most exciting red carpet looks of the evening and we particularly love the combo with her dramatic platinum blonde bob.

Saoirse Ronan wore emerald green to represent her native Ireland and also as a nod to the first red carpet dress she ever wore (so sweet). The dress is by Calvin Klein and has a wonderfully Little Mermaid appeal.

This came as a surprise - why did Alicia Vikander, princess of Scandi elegance - wear a princessy Beauty and the Beast-inspired gown? It's by Louis Vuitton (Vikander is a brand ambassador), but even so we're surprised by her decision to wear a saccharine lemon-coloured prom dress with a mullet hem. Obviously, she looks gorgeous, but we can't help but wish she'd gone stronger on this one.

Jared Leto wore Gucci - the fashion brand of the moment - accessorising with the man every fashion girl would love armed as her guest, Alessandro Michele (the label's creative director). Excellent corsage Leto - a great update on the boring bow tie.

A questionable look here from Kate Winslet, who appears to be dressed as a hologram. It might be Ralph Lauren, but her high-shine gown also reminds us of the sheen of all prom dresses and school disco outfits ever.
