5 of Meghan Markle's best off-duty looks to shop for your own WFH wardrobe
She may have moved back across the pond, but our love for Meghan Markle will never leave. One of the most sartorially chameleon-like people to step foot in the Royal family in recent history, Meghan's sense of style has provided great joy to those with their finger on the fashion pulse.
Remember the chic, white trench coat by Line the Label which she wore to announce her engagement to Prince Harry? The zesty yellow gown by Brandon Maxwell? The black flared Altuzarra trouser suit? And how about that Clare Waight Keller wedding dress?
Despite having almost entirely free rein when it comes to the world's top designers, Meghan has showed real patriotism with her wardrobe too. From Victoria Beckham and Emilia Wickstead to Burberry and even Topshop, Meghan has championed every end of the British brand spectrum. But while we've spent years poring over her most high-end looks, there have also been a gentle smattering of off-duty outfits that have gone a little more under-the-radar.
Whether she's leaving the Yoga studio in Toronto with a mat rolled up under one arm, making her first ever appearance with Prince Harry (swoon) at the Invictus Games in ripped jeans and a boyfriend shirt, or casually trekking in Rotorua, New Zealand, during one of the couple's epic Royal tours, Meghan has perfected her low-key aesthetic via a smorgasbord of leggings, polo shirts and even puffer jackets.
Since our desire for comfy - although crucially not lazy - clothing has heightened enormously since compulsory self-isolation hit, many of us have struggled to make our work-from-home wardrobe feel even the slightest bit inspired.

We saw a different side to Harry and Meghan during their Royal tours, but it was while visiting Australia, Fiji, Tonga and New Zealand in 2018 that we first saw Meghan's more casual sense of style. A wardrobe bursting full of puffer jackets, skinny jeans and flats, she's all the professional-but-comfy inspo we need right now.
Spotted outside a restaurant in New York last year, Meghan may have been heavily-pregnant but she was also looking a lot sportier than we'd ever seen before. A full-black running look - complete with cap - was of course made impossibly chic via her long camel coat thrown over.
Does anyone else feel like this was a lifetime ago? The first time the pair were spotted together, it was only Meghan's chic look that could draw our attention from that momentary hand-hold. Ripped jeans, a boyfriend-fit shirt and an oversized tote, she was every inch the off-duty style icon.
Back on home turf, Meghan loves to pop to the yoga studio while in Toronto. But while she's merely going about her day-to-day, she's also unknowingly serving up all the self-isolation wardrobe goals we need right now. If Meghan can look this chic in cropped leggings and a fleece then we're willing to give it a go. You just might need to take off the hat and sunglasses for the daily Zoom call...
This was technically an on-duty look, but the loose-fit bootleg jeans and casual polo shirt was so far from her high-end designer gowns that we all fell a little bit more in love with her for it. She cleverly paired the relaxed look with a dark trench coat and kitten-heel boot, and in turn provided us with a very simple lesson in elevating the basics should you wish to refine your WFH look during a quick nip to the shops.
