Margot Robbie to reprise Harley Quinn for all-female supervillains film
Harley Quinn lives again! Margot Robbie will play her popular Suicide Squad role once again in Gotham City Sirens, an all-female supervillains film based on DC's recent comic.
Robbie was the runaway success of Suicide Squad, which achieved pretty terrible reviews for the overall film, but a rapturous reception for Robbie's Harley Quinn, sidekick and on-off girlfriend to The Joker – and, crucially, made an absolute ton of cash at the global box office.
A sequel is in the works, and a spin-off featuring Will Smith's character Deadshot is in the works, but the success of Robbie's character means we get to see this one first. WOO HOO!

The series Gotham City Sirens ran from 2009 to 2011 and teamed up some of the DC universe's most infamous villainesses, including two very familiar faces from the 90s Batman film series, Catwoman and Poison Ivy.
Suicide Squad director David Ayer will return to direct Sirens, which, pleasingly, will be written by a female screenwriter. Geneva Robertson-Dworet is behind the forthcoming Tomb Raider reboot and Sherlock Holmes 3.
Margot Robbie is set to executive produce Gotham City Sirens: honestly we're never really sure what that means, but well done her, and lucky us for getting Quinn back on the big screen so soon. 'Cause that girl's got style – and if you want to see more of Robbie's off-screen fashion, here you are.
